Public Works / Landfill | The Houston County Landfill will remain open for President’s Day on Monday, February 21, 2022. Trash collection will proceed as normal for the week of February 21, 2022 through February 25, 2022. Questions or concerns should be directed to the Public Works office at 478-987-4299.

Coroner | The Probate Judge of Houston County is accepting resumes for all persons interested in the appointment to the unexpired term of the Coroner of Houston County. This appointment is through December 31, 2024, as the Coroner is an elected position that is elected to four-year terms that will be elected after this term is expired.
